Wizard of Oz Cupcakes




These cupcakes were made using fondant and buttercream icing. Everything is edible and it was done for a little girls birthday. Two dozen cupcakes chocolate and yellow. This was so much fun to make. I surprised myself, I was nervous about the ruby slippers.

Bakugan


This is a Bakugan cake I made for my son. The cake is a replica of the Bakugan card used to play the Bakugan game. It is a 1/2 sheet cake which is 1/2 yellow and 1/2 chocolate, layered one on top of the other so the cake was fairly thick. with buttercream icing in between. I made templates out of poster board and then used wilton spray icing to get the starburst effect.

Pink and Green Zebra Cake



This cake was made for a little girl's first birthday party. It is a copy of the zebra cake but with pink stripes and green accents. It was a smaller version with a 8 inch and 6 inch tier combination. It was yellow cake with buttercream filling. I made a small 6 inch cake for Macy to dig into with pink and green circles and her name. I think it came out nice.

Barney


This was a two tiered cake with a 6 inch on top of a 10 inch. The Barney, BJ and Baby Bop were made using Color Flow technique. The Stars were made from chocolate as well as the number 2. Royal Icing was used to make the flowers. The cake was strawberry flavored and iced in lemon flavored buttercream icing.

Curious George Pool Party



This was a 1/4 sheet cake with a 8 inch round on top, I used a cupcake to make the beach ball. It was decorated with buttercream icing and banana runts for the border of the cake.

Little Einstein's


My Little Einsteins Cake. The rocket was made from a 8 inch round cake with a dome cake on top, small muffin pans were used to make the engines, the cake was placed on top of a 1/4 sheet cake which was iced blue to look like the sky with white clouds.

First Birthday (girl)


A half sheet cake was cut using a template into the shape of a number one. Iced in pink buttercream icing and decorated with fondant balloons.

Tapout


This was a 1/2 sheet marble cake covered in black fondant. I used grey icing to make the chainlink fence. Using a template, I replicated the Tapout logo in fondant.

Transformers


1/2 sheet cake half yellow half chocolate iced with buttercream. Autobot and Decepticon signs were hand drawn. This was Joshua's 7th birthday cake.

Teddy Bear


This cake was for a baby shower. It was a 8 inch cake on a 10 inch cake. White cake with cookies and cream filling covered in fondant with a fondant teddy bear on top with dump truck.

Rubiks Cube


This Rubiks Cube cake was for a Halloween 80s party. I made three 8x8 chocolate cakes. I made a cutout from cardboard and used it to cut three squares from each cake, covered each in black fondant and decorated with different colored squares using an original rubiks cube as a guide. Chocolate buttercream was used to hold the pieces together.

Princess Cake


This two tiered Princess cake was fun to make. A 10 inch and 6 inch tiered cake strawberry flavored with buttercream filling. Both tiers were iced and covered in fondant, stripes and circle details, dusted lightly with pink pearl dust.

Zebra Cake


This is the original zebra cake the one that started it all. I made it using a 10 inch cake in chocolate on the bottom and a 6 inch yellow cake on the top. The bow and balls out of fondant.

Superman


This Superman cake was a 1/2 sheet red velvet cake. Iced in buttercream icing. A 8x8 cake was cut in the shape of the Superman diamond and placed on top and using the star tip, I designed the "S".

Spongebob


This Spongebob cake was made using a Wilton pan. It was placed on top of a 1/4 sheet cake and iced in Buttercream icing with the appropriate colors using the star tip.

Poodles


This was a French poodle themed cake. Covered in Pink fondant with white fondant poodles with pink icing for the hair. This cake was 10 inches with two layers of yellow cake and a strawberry pecan cream cheese filling. Black and white fondant polka dots decorated the cake.

Batman



This was a 1/4 sheet Batman cake. The buildings are made out of fondant, and the bat signal from Royal icing. Batman sugar cookies with royal icing finished off the party!

Bugland Cake



This two tiered cake has a 6 inch cake on top of a 10 inch cake, it is covered in fondant and has fondant flowers and insects all over it. Very cute cake for a girl's birthday. Two butterflies sit on top holding flowers. Along with this cake I made 30 cupcakes iced in pastel colored buttercream icing with fondant insects on top.

Breaking Dawn



This cake was for a birthday party. It was a copy of the Breaking Dawn book by Stephenie Meyer. I made a 9x13 chocolate cake and iced it in buttercream icing. Covered it in fondant and then duplicated the cover using fondant. It turned out great and almost identical to the cover.

Baseball Cake and Cupcakes


Three Dimensional Baseball cake iced in buttercream icing. The cupcakes were chocolate and iced in green buttercream icing and accented with a fondant baseball.

Wow Wow Wubzy Cake


Here is a cute Wow Wow Wubzy Cake! This cake is a 1/2 sheet cake, it was half yellow cake and half chocolate cake, iced in buttercream, and all the Wow Wow Wubzy characters were made out of fondant.

Zebra Cake


Here is a Baby Shower cake I made today, it is a smaller version of the zebra cake I made in September. This one however is a 6 inch cake on top of an 8 inch cake. The cake was iced in buttercream icing and black fondant was used to make the zebra stripes. A hot pink bow and pink balls were used as accents.

A Little Bit About Me

I decided to combine my love of drawing and my love of baking and BAM I got into Cake Decorating. Although I am just starting it out it has become a very successful endeavor, and a lot of fun, I am learning a lot and hope to get better and better with each cake.
